International Research Initiatives

Rural and urban people around the world are struggling with the concept of development. There is great pressure to transform, to adopt a life style from afar, and to change culture and behavior in pursuit of economic goals. Proponents of change perceive that it is in the best interest of regional, local and global society. Frequently that is correct.

Often however, we lose sight of individual as we focus on larger goals. In the international work conducted by members of the Water Quality Team, we focus at the local and regional level and attempt to assist small as well as large communities in making more informed decisions.
